Voting

Voting is our core tool for creating the world we wish to see and holding accountable our elected representatives. Every eligible voter has a right to vote and it is our responsibility to protect and enable that right to be exercised.

Civil stewards are active supporters of the right to vote.

What You Can Do

Ensure you are registered to vote and plan for legislation that will make it harder for you to do so. Get your paperwork in order.

Have you changed your name? Get your passport so you have a document that complies with proposed legislation that could affect your right to vote.

Are you supporting someone who will need assistance in voting? Get informed on their rights and your rights to support their ability to vote.

Get involved with voter registration projects to help others get registered to vote and a plan in place for making sure they can vote when the time comes.

Vote. Every time. Every election. Don’t sit a single one out. The most important election is whatever election is coming up next. Participate!

Voter Registration

There are a variety of organizations and opportunities to support voter registration efforts. Check with your local election groups to find out how to get trained and join voter registration efforts.

Voting Guides

Voting guides are a critical resource for voters to understand complex ballots. You can help by sharing guides or participating in efforts to translate and disburse guides to ensure access.

Voter Assistance

Many organizations work to coordinate voter assistance ranging from transportation to supporting voters unable to visit an election center. Check with your local voting support organizations for opportunities to help voters.
